Dancing twilight
Illuminates the burning path
In this young night
The hammer is full of wrath
Nothingness is nothing now
Fire breathes without air
Blood runs green
Inbetween
The pillars of a chosen mare
So it begins
Time will die
You can't save us
Don't even try!
Emptiness under the moon
Shan't make us swoon
Move in chaos!
Kill the chain!
Tempt all darkness!
Channel Cain!
Come forth!
Usurpers and slaves
Beacons in shadows
Destroyers of graves
Behold the Tower
And the Eye
This is the power
That never will die
So it began
Time did die
You couldn't save us
Though you tried!
Emptiness under the moon
Didn't make us swoon.
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken
An ideal Black Heavy Metal album. Although there are ghostly hashed vocal here and there, the large portion of playtime is filled with NWOBHM influenced guitarworks so it feels partially instrumental. The style of some riffs also reminds me of classic Metallica. (Check out #7.) Each tracks stands out from each other while they are being mildly progressive. SkunkBeatManiac
Streamlining their post-metal sprawl through a sharper melodic focus, the Scottish juggernauts' third LP is labyrinthine yet approachable. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 25, 2024
Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
